Explore the back roads of the Cape on a mountain, cruiser, hybrid or tandem bike available from a local bike rental company. The Cape Cod Rail Trail follows the former railroad for 22 miles through the towns of Dennis, Harwich, Brewster, Orleans, Eastham and Wellfleet. Its paved surface, few, gentle hills and well-marked automobile crossings make it ideal for cyclists. The trail also has a wide unpaved shoulder that accommodate horseback riders, walkers, and runners.
